“I may never find words beautiful enough to describe all that you mean to me, but I will spend the rest of my life searching for them.” – j.g.
Earlier this month, I got to spend the day with Addi Grace and Gabe. Hunter and I drove to Vicksburg to meet them. I’ve never shot in Vicksburg, but now I would gladly suggest the city to my couples in need of a beautiful location.
Hunter and I met them for lunch at Cottonwood Public House, a pub with artisan pizza. The food was delicious, and after lunch we were able to talk about their big day.
We walked through the downtown area and did some scouting before the session started. Addi Grace and Gabe were already in their first outfit and they looked fantastic! She had on a lovely floral two-piece dress, while he had a good long sleeve shirt and vest combo.
My favorite location we shot at in their first outfit had to have been Vicksburg’s old courthouse. The light was perfect, and it gave me all of the dreamy vibes.
For their second outfit, we drove to the Military Park. The light, while overcast, worked well with the marble at the Illinois Monument. The hills at the park were pretty as well.
Their second outfit was an absolute knockout, as they coordinated perfectly in a powder blue. Their dog Lincoln even had a bandana to match!
Hunter and I were able to ride around with Addi Grace and Gabe going from location to location. This was my first time to meet Gabe, but I already knew Addi Grace from college. Her and I both attended Co-Lin and Mississippi State together.
The day was chilly and slightly overcast, but the pictures still turned out amazing.
Addi Grace and Gabe both majored in engineering in college, but they didn’t meet until they were introduced by mutual friends. It wasn’t long after they met that they started dating.
Gabe proposed to Addi Grace this past December, when the couple took a trip to Memphis. Although he was incredibly nervous, he proposed to her later that evening when they had arrived at the hotel they were staying at. She was completely blown away and said yes.
For Gabe, his favorite feature of Addi Grace’s are her hazel eyes. He knew she was the one when he realized how smart she was. He loved that he was able to talk about things he liked, and she could enjoy the conversation just as much as he did, because she liked those things too.
For Addi Grace, her favorite feature of Gabe’s is his lips. She didn’t know he was the one immediately, but over time she fell in love with him. It was they say, she fell in love with him like one would fall asleep.
Addi Grace, Gabe, I’m so honored that I could shoot your engagement session. I’m so excited to shoot your wedding and witness you joining together as one.
I had the best day with you guys, and I pray that you still have as much fun with each other as you do now in the years to come.
Watch for deer,
Gracie
